About Heather Koelle

Smiling woman with gray hair wearing a red turtleneck and earrings against a dark red background.

Heather is a late bloomer. As a retired music therapist, writing was only a hobby. But since 2018 when she joined The Writers Guild of Delco, writing has become her primary passion. At the Guild’s founder, and close friend, Jennifer Lincoln’s encouragement, she wrote her first novel, Invisible Thread published in 2021. In 2023 Heather published her second book an anthology of short stories A Look Within. This piece was encouraged by a good friend Steven Butler.

Heather joined a poetry group called Partners in Rhyme, led by Guild members Becky and Will Scull. This group was an extension of the Writer’s Guild of Delco. Amassing poetry on varying subjects from societal views to romance, and nature using primarily free verse, sonnets, and haikus, her poetry book Seasons of the Soul was published in 2025.

When not writing, Heather is a voracious reader, and is a member of two writer’s groups and the poetry group. She swims at least three times a week and is adding yoga to her exercise routine. Heather also enjoys the country and nature, especially Maine which renews her spirit. Other activities and interests are water hip-hop class, church activities, and lunches with her close girlfriends.

Heather lives with her husband of 59 years and has three children, and five grandchildren. She lives in Wallingford, PA. She would love to hear from her fans. Use the contact page on this website to reach out to her.
